The Annies softball team will play against Triad this Friday, April 21st, at Rotary Park. Game time is 4:30pm.
Welding students recently competed in a welding competition held at the Crisp Technology Center. Each of these students received an award.

The Orphan track meet at Lindenwood on Saturday, April 15th has been cancelled.
The local police department (CPD) received a general threat of an active shooter at Centralia High School this morning. Several police officers from Centralia and surrounding departments immediately swept the entire building. Nothing was found to validate the threat. This same threat has been reported in several communities across the state today. CHS will have extra police officers in the building and in the parking lot the rest of the day today. Students will also be on a soft lockdown, which means students will be allowed to move about the interior of the building, but not allowed to go outside for PE, internships, etc. without an administrative or police escort. CHS will have extra officers patrolling the grounds during regular dismissal time. As always, the top priority at CHS is to provide a safe environment for our students. We will continue to take extra precautions if and when there is even the slightest risk to our students.

The Annies softball team has added a game on Saturday, April 15th, at Gillespie High School. The varsity game will start at 11:00 am and there will be JV innings afterwards.
The Annies softball game scheduled for Friday, April 14th vs Carlyle will now be played on Monday, May 1st at Carlyle with a 4:30 pm start.
The Annie’s softball game tomorrow (4/11) vs Cahokia will now be a double header starting at 4:00 pm.
The tri-tennis match scheduled for today (4/5) at Fairlfield (w/ Olney also) has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 11th at 3:30 pm.
The baseball game at Belleville West on Saturday, April 8th, will be Varsity only.
The Annies Varsity track team will participate in the Mt Vernon Invite on Wednesday April 12th. The meet will start at 4:00 pm
The Annies softball game scheduled for today (4/5) vs Salem has been cancelled. No make up date has been set at this time.

The Annies Soccer team will travel to Althoff on Thursday, April 6th with the JV game starting at 5:00 pm and the varsity to follow. Also Saturday's match at Anna Jonesboro will be a varsity only contest starting at 11:00 am.
Child Development students had fun testing their skills at diapering, swaddling, burping and more!
Mrs. Miller's public speaking classes are finishing up demonstrative speeches this week. Students have done various demonstrations including: how to apply makeup, playing guitar, rock painting, no bake cookies, clapping rhythms, and shaving a patient to name a few! Students have been very creative.
Orphans' Tennis has added a home match vs. Carbondale at 4pm tomorrow, Tuesday, April 4th.
