The Accounting 1 class finished their Monopoly unit this week. The students practiced journalizing transactions and proving cash. Jon Smith, Gavin Jolliff, and Nash Cottrill finished with the top three highest net worths!
The 2024 Centralia High School Art Show will be taking place at the Centralia Cultural Society from 1:00-4:00 pm both Saturday, May 11th and Sunday, May 12th. The show consists of current Art 4 Seniors' work from Art 1 all the way through Art 4.
Orphan Baseball has added the following home, varsity only games to their schedule:
Wednesday, May 15th vs Salem @ 4:30 pm
Monday, May 20th vs Effingham @ 4:30 pm
The game scheduled at Effingham on Saturday, May 18th will be a single game, not the DH previously scheduled.

Today's (5/9) JV Baseball game is cancelled.
The Annies Softball team has been assigned to the IHSA Triad 3A Regional. The Annies will open play on Tuesday, May 21st at 4:30 pm vs Waterloo. The winner of that game will play in the championship game on Friday, May 24th at 4:00 pm. The Orphan Baseball team will travel to Marion to play Mt. Vernon in the IHSA Regional semi-final on Thursday, May 23rd at 4:30 pm. Some of our students were able to participate in the Special Olympics at Mt. Vernon High School on Friday, May 3rd. We had participants in the Softball Throw, Long Jump, and 100 Meter Walk. The kids had a great time!
ATTN CHS PARENTS: We will dismiss at our normal times today, pending the weather. If there is severe weather, we will hold the buses and students until it is safe to leave.

Wednesday, May 8th. All of today's games have been cancelled: Soccer, Softball, and Baseball.
Preparations are underway for Friday’s 25th annual Academic Pep Assembly. The Renaissance Committee would like to invite family members of the award recipients and anyone else interested in attending, to enter the back doors by the ticket booth. The assembly will begin at 10:00 am.
Orphan Baseball for today, Wednesday, May 8th vs. Fairfield is cancelled and no make up date is set.
The Orphan Baseball team will play a Varsity Only home game on Friday, May 10th at 4:30 pm vs. Robinson. (The Orphans were originally going to play Okawville on this date)
