Today the cafeteria is serving hot dogs for lunch. Tomorrow they will serve muffins for breakfast and spaghetti for lunch.
KC career fair forms are due to tomorrow! You MUST turn both forms and your lunch money ($2) into the main office. No late forms will be accepted. If your forms are not turned in, you will not be allowed to attend.
Attention Seniors (and senior parents): Tomorrow, September 30th, CHS will host a Senior Parent Night in the cafeteria beginning at 6pm. An ISAC representative will also be on hand to present information regarding financial aid. If you are planning on attending college or a trade school next fall, please encourage your parents to attend.FCA invites all CHS students to the Homecoming bonfire on tomorrow night from 7pm-8:30pm. The bonfire will be on the east side of the tennis courts. Come hang out and enjoy food, fun, and fellowship!
Power Hour is happening again this Thursday, October 1st after school in room 1054 and you are welcome to come hang out, whether you’ve joined us before or not! Check your email for more details and be sure to let Mrs. Brooks or Mrs. Shipley know by Wednesday if you need transportation home.
We have several college representatives coming to visit us this week! Please see Mrs. Snyder in the guidance office if you would like to sign up. The visits are for Seniors only.
A representative from Blackburn College will be on campus Thursday, October 1st at 9:30am in the attendance office boardroom. Sign up deadline is Wednesday, September 30th.
A representative from U of I Springfield will be on campus Friday, October 2nd at 9am in the attendance office boardroom. Sign up deadline is Thursday, October 1st.
Food trucks are coming to CHS! On our noon dismissal this Friday, October 2nd, The Potato Plug, Taco Jo’s, & Wintea Express will be selling food beginning at 12pm in the back parking lot. You are responsible for the cost of your food. Tables & chairs will be set up.
All CHS students are invited to the annual tailgate party starting after the parade at the football field. Free food, prizes and games will be offered. Entry fee is $2.00 which includes your entry to the Homecoming football game. You must show your ID for entry. No one outside of CHS students are allowed admittance (this means no younger siblings). No backpacks/book bags/balls or outside food and drinks will be permitted. Reminder: if you are staying for the game, you may want to bring a jacket or sweatshirt for temperature changes that happen when the sun goes down.
