Today the cafeteria is serving cheeseburgers for lunch. Monday the cafeteria will serve bacon, egg & cheese biscuits for breakfast and chicken patty sandwiches for lunch.
Girls bowling tryouts are Monday the 17th. You will be dismissed early so email coach Branch if you will be trying out so accommodations can be made. Email coach Branch with any questions.
Football players should stop by the athletic office to pick up a banquet information sheet. The banquet will be on Wednesday November 19th at 6:30 pm.
Anybody interested in playing baseball this Spring that is not in a Winter sport needs to come see coach Bauer by the end of the week.
Need to be ready to rock the Orphanage on Retro Wear Night?? Retired uniforms and other school gear will be on sale on the stage Tuesday & Wednesday with all sales benefitting CHS Cares.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you would like to find out more about your abilities in verbal, math, science, technology and spatial domains, you may sign up to take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test. The ASVAB will be given at CHS for free on Thursday, November 20th. Taking this test in no way obligates you to the military. However, if you are interested in joining the military, we encourage you to take the test. If you are interested, please sign up with Mrs. Snyder in the Guidance Office. We can accommodate no more than 30 students. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, November 18th. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Russell.
The Young Writers USA Organization sponsored a creative writing contest for high school students who created the most compelling frightful tale in a competitive 150 words or less. Top entries chosen from across the country would be published in an anthology of short stories entitled Fright Club - Nowhere is Safe. Eight CHS freshmen students have been chosen to have their writing published in this edition!! Congratulations to the following newly published authors: Haylie Bowen-Holtgrefe, Jesiah Jackson, Aiden Atchison, Cayden Higgins, Elaina Carpenter, Zack Houser, Cavan Smith, and Jade Skurat.
